2010 is promising to be a huge year for Noisia, comprised of Nik Roos, Thijs de Vlieger and Martijn van Sonderen. The multi-award winning Dutch trio, who have garnered a huge underground following thanks to their constantly enthralling releases such as ‘The Tide’, ‘Exodus’ [which features KRS-One] and ‘Stigma’ are releasing their debut album, ‘Split The Atom’, on April 5th and look set to blow ear-drums out across the world.

Not content with producing Hadouken’s latest album ‘For The Masses’ in its entirety [which saw ‘Mic Check’ become Zane Lowe’s hottest record in the world], seeing the video for their collaboration with Foreign Beggars on ‘Contact’ smash past the half-million views mark on YouTube and appearing on the DJ Hero and Gran Turismo computer games, Noisia will showcase their incredible talent for bringing the heaviest of beats to the table, ready to knock the entire music world off its feet with ‘Split The Atom’.

As if to stamp their authority on the new decade, lead single ‘Machine Gun’, released on March 8th, along with its remixes were placed on Noisia’s MySpace and within one day the player had clocked in over 10,000 plays, dwarfing the numbers reached by other high-profile acts including Hot Chip and Calvin Harris. With such a strong springboard to launch from, it’s only a matter of time before Noisia become the latest superpower to break through from the world of Drum & Bass.

The album doesn’t simply feature D&B however, with the group’s love of electro and breaks also influencing proceedings, showing once again the versatility of their production. The sonic backdrop is also helped on the album with guest appearances from Foreign Beggars, Amon Tobin, Joe Seven and Giovanca.

‘Split The Atom’ represents a huge step for Beatport’s “Best Drum & Bass Artist” award winners, a step they welcome with open arms as they continue to push the boundaries of their musical style.
